Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente, adding broccoli florets 2 minutes before draining.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and season chicken with Cajun spices. Cook until golden brown.
- Melt butter in the skillet, then stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and zest.
- Combine cooked chicken, pasta, and broccoli in the skillet. Add reserved pasta water to achieve desired sauce consistency.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs before serving.
