- 15 oz crumbled chicken or turkey sausage
- 8 oz uncooked rigatoni
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 5 oz fresh spinach
- Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add crumbled sausage and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it into small pieces until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in uncooked rigatoni, chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
- Add fresh spinach to the skillet and stir until wilted.
- If desired, simmer uncovered for a few extra minutes for a thicker sauce.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and serve hot.
