Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- Toss chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and cook the chicken until golden brown (6-8 minutes). Transfer to a plate.
- Lower the heat and melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, and chives; season with salt and pepper.
- Return chicken and drained pasta to the skillet; toss with sauce and reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Serve hot with extra garnish if desired.
