Ingredients
- 1 pound bowtie pasta
- 1 pound 93% lean ground beef or 99% fat-free turkey
- 1 jar marinara sauce (about 3 cups if homemade)
- 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup low-fat sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 heaping teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey; drain excess fat.
- Return meat to the skillet, add cooked pasta and marinara sauce along with seasonings; mix well.
- Stir in mozzarella cheese and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) over low heat until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot in portions.
