  • 1 pound uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 pound chicken sausage
  • 2 jars (24 ounces each) marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
  3. Boil salted water and cook spaghetti for two minutes less than package directions; drain and return to pot.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken sausage with chopped onion for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes; sauté for one minute.
  6. Combine the sausage mixture with the pasta and marinara sauce; toss to coat evenly.
  7. Layer half the pasta mixture in a greased baking dish, spread on cheese mixture, top with remaining pasta, then sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and broil until bubbly and golden.
