Ingredients
- 1 pound uncooked spaghetti
- 1 pound chicken sausage
- 2 jars (24 ounces each) marinara sauce
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 8 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
- Boil salted water and cook spaghetti for two minutes less than package directions; drain and return to pot.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken sausage with chopped onion for about 10 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes; sauté for one minute.
- Combine the sausage mixture with the pasta and marinara sauce; toss to coat evenly.
- Layer half the pasta mixture in a greased baking dish, spread on cheese mixture, top with remaining pasta, then sprinkle mozzarella on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and broil until bubbly and golden.
